Free HIV & HEP-C Testing

Testing is provided at no cost to you. Our rapid tests deliver results within minutes. Results are completely confidential.

Counseling

Individual and confidential counseling is available to all who need it. If you are reactive to an STD, our trained staff can provide essential counseling on-site at no cost to you.

Preventive Care

We have an HIV/AIDS program that provides prevention and intervention services to individuals and their families. We do this through education, counseling and medications like PrEP.

WHAT IS HIV?

Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV)

is a virus that attacks the body’s immune system. If HIV is not treated, it can lead to AIDS (acquired immunodeficiency syndrome). Learning the basics about HIV testing can keep you healthy and prevent HIV transmission.

WHAT IS STI?

Sexually transmitted infections (STIs)

also referred to as sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) and the older term venereal disease, are infections that are commonly spread by sexual activity, especially vaginal intercourse, anal sex and oral sex. STIs often do not initially cause symptoms, which results in a greater risk of passing the infection on to others. Symptoms and signs of STIs may include vaginal discharge, penile discharge, ulcers on or around the genitals, and pelvic pain. STIs can be transmitted to an infant before or during childbirth, which may result in poor outcomes for the infant. Some STIs can cause infertility.

WHAT IS PREP?

Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP)

When taken daily, is highly effective for preventing HIV. Studies have shown that PrEP reduces the risk of getting HIV from sex by about 99% when taken daily. Among people who inject drugs, PrEP reduces the risk of getting HIV by at least 74% when taken daily. PrEP is much less effective if it is not taken consistent

Post-Exposure prophylaxis (PEP)

Officially, PEP can help if started within 72 hours after HIV exposure. But the newest research shows almost all of the protection disappears after 48 hours, so if you think you’ve had an exposure, reach out to our staff right away!
